Our posting and photo policy (tap to read it)
- Ownership. The photos you upload are yours, or you have permission to use every photo you've uploaded.
- Public and private images. Images taken in public, and images of people in private settings, are permitted as long as they don't negatively affect how people are seen because of their race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy, sexual orientation and gender identity), national origin, age, disability or genetic information, or are considered violent, offensive or sexual in nature.
- Not allowed. Private information such as ID cards, medical papers, license plates, or a home address.
- What we accept. JPG and PNG pictures, at least 300 by 300 pixels, up to 5 MB each. No GIFs or videos.
- Your privacy. We remove the hidden information in a photo file (where it was taken, which phone or camera, the date and time) before we produce your new image.
- No AI changes. We never use AI to change your photo. What you upload is what people see. The words and edits you add are baked into your picture.
- Our mark stays. In every case, this mark goes below your picture: “We provide the means to make this image. We do not endorse this photo or its message. Make-It-Yours™” Although we assist you in creating the image, we are not held responsible for its content. If you use one of our pictures, our logo is part of the image. If you use your own picture, you can remove our logo from it, if you wish. The mark stays below your picture either way.
- Not sure? If you tick the box, your post goes live right away. If you leave it unticked, we review your post, and any picture with it, first, usually within 24 hours, and we email you if we can't use it. If upon review we find your content offensive or against our standards, it will be removed. At any time, we may remove a post or photo that does not meet these standards.
